Wreck It Ralph's Vanellope Von Schweetz | VintageDisneyBound
Hey there beautifuls! My name is Kathyrn and I am the girl behind vintagedisneybound.
Last Friday i had the pleasure of going to Disneyland. It was also Rockabilly Day at the Parks. It was my first time joining in on this unofficial Disney day. I saw a few people dressed up but not much, but then again i was only there for half of the day. From what I saw on their Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/rockabillyday/), there were a lot more people hanging out together.
I did dress up for the occasion, as you can see by the title I did my version of Vanelloppe from Wreck It Ralph. This was my first time bounding as her. Here are some pictures of my outfit:
Vanellope von Schweetz is the deuteragonist of Disney's 2012animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph and its upcoming sequel. She is the razor-tongued princess of Sugar Rush that had been turned into a glitch by King Candy. With no memories of her past, Vanellope became an ostracized misfit with dreams of becoming a real racer. Through an unlikely friendship formed with Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope would learn the truth of her background, and set out to restore her broken code. (found on Disney wiki)
For my outfit, I decided to color block. Meaning I took colors from the character(s) outfit and made it into my own outfit. I have the minty green, black and brown. I forgot she had pink on her jacket so I did not incorporate that. My shirt and pants are the minty green color to represent her jacket and leggings. The brown corset and my shoes(you can not see them in picks) represent her brown candy wrapper skirt. Then I have black dots on my pants to represent her shoes. I did more of a 50's/60's vibes where women would occasionally wear carpi style pants either in the house or sometimes at school, or even to some parties they went to. I added a corset(which I got surprisingly a lot of compliments on) to add to my figure, because back then they were all about showing off your figure and adding to your shape. And that is how i got my inspiration for my Vanelloppe Van Sweets Disneybound.
I had so much fun hanging out with my family and be able to go to Disney. It's been awhile since I got to go. I had a great time and can't wait until next month when I get to go again. more adventures, more laughs and smiles.
Who should i bound as next? I'm thinking another Wreck It Ralph character, like king Candy or the other speed racers.
